You know how important it is to have a good breakfast. The problem is that if you eat the same thing over and over, you can get tired of it. For instance, I love french toast and pancakes but they get boring served the same old way each time. To keep your breakfast flavorful and enjoyable, try adding this strawberry breakfast topping or sauce. It’s a sure fire way to keep kids interested in breakfast.
1/2 C. maple syrup (or your favorite)
2 T. orange juice or Grand Marnier
3/4 C. strawberries, pureed
Combine all ingredients in a small pan. Stirring constantly, heat mixture over medium heat until it begins to thicken (approximately 5 minutes). Remember syrup will burn easily so watch carefully and stir constantly. While still warm, pour over french toast slices, pancakes, or waffles and serve immediately.
