Even adults enjoy fair season with the big draw being the yummy and sometimes odd foods. If you enjoy the chocolate banana nut pops that are found at the fair, rejoice! You don’t have to wait for the fair every year to get these cool treats. Our easy-to-make banana nut pop recipe will help satisfy your craving year round. By the way, you can still use the food as an excuse to visit the fair during your lunch hour. We won’t tell.
12 popsicle sticks
12 oz. pack of mini chocolate chips
3 C. Peanuts, chopped fine
Wax paper, cut into 12 – 6″ x 6″ squares
Peel bananas. Cut each banana in half. Push a popsicle stick into the end of each banana. Spread the banana pops with a thin layer of peanut butter.
In a microwave safe baking dish, melt the mini chocolate chips. Roll each pop in the melted chocolate, making sure to coat the end. Let excess drip off. Roll banana pops in the bowl of chopped nuts.
Wrap each pop in a wax paper square and freeze. Once frozen, transfer to plastic freezer bags.
